Payment plans

Paying for your commission, made clear

A custom suit is a big purchase, so paying for your commission should be simple. Here's exactly how deposits, balances and weekly or biweekly payment plans work, so there are no surprises between your quote and your doorstep.

Deposits & balances

What you pay to get started

The same simple rule applies to every commission.

  • Orders under $500

    Paid in full upfront

Work begins once full payment is received and your design is approved.

  • Orders over $500

    Upfront payment to start

An upfront, non-refundable payment is needed to start work. The amount is set in your quote, and the remaining balance is due before shipping.

Whatever the order size, full payment must clear before anything ships.

Step by step

Your payment timeline

  1. 1

    Request a quote

Tell us about your character and tick “Interested in a payment plan” on the quote form.

  2. 2

    Receive your quote

Your written quote states the total price and, if a plan is offered for your order, your weekly or biweekly schedule and any processing fee.

  3. 3

    Pay to start

Under $500: pay in full. Over $500: make the upfront payment set in your quote. Work begins once payment is received and the design is approved.

  4. 4

    Production

We build your suit with WIP updates. Weekly or biweekly instalments are paid on the dates set in your quote.

  5. 5

    Balance before shipping

Full payment must be cleared before your order ships. No exceptions.

Payment plans on select orders

If you'd like to spread the cost of a larger commission, ask for a payment plan when you request your quote. Whether a plan is available depends on the order, and every detail is confirmed in writing before you pay.

FAQ

Deposits, refunds & payments

How much is the deposit?

Orders over $500 need an upfront, non-refundable payment to start work; the amount is stated in your quote. Orders under $500 are paid in full before work begins.

Can I pay the rest in instalments?

Yes, on select orders. You can choose to pay weekly or biweekly. Ask on your quote request; if a plan is possible for your commission, the instalment amounts and due dates are set out in your written quote before you pay anything.

Is there a fee for a payment plan?

A payment plan may include a small processing fee. Any fee is stated in your quote, so you'll know the full cost before agreeing.

When is the final balance due?

The remaining balance must be paid and cleared before your order ships.

Can I get a refund on my deposit?

No. Deposits are non-refundable under all circumstances, and no refunds are given once work has begun (materials bought or cutting/construction started).

What if I need to cancel mid-production?

If you cancel during production, any completed work becomes the property of FursuitCommissions.com and may be sold as a premade item. Payments already made are not refunded.

What happens if I miss a payment?

Contact us as soon as you can. How late instalments are handled is agreed in writing with your payment plan; your order cannot ship until the full balance has cleared.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Commission payments are accepted via PayPal and Stripe. If you need to spread the cost, ask about a payment plan on your quote request.
